1 februari – Advances in Dog Training
The seminar is an opportunity for anyone interested in any aspect of dog training to hear it from one of the world’s best. This exciting program will review fundamental principles of dog training and work on improving your mechanics as a trainer. Susan will show you how to apply learning theory into your everyday dog training. Understanding why your dog does what he does will help you work through training challenges facing you in any area of competitive dog training. Learn how to teach your dogs both control for stationary positions (like contacts and sit stays) and incredible motivation so you will have a dog that WANTS to work at any skill you want to work on. This workshop is a combination of lecture, demo and some work with your dog. Included will be games such as; It’s Yer Choice Game and Susan’s very popular “Crate Games”. These 2 games form the foundation of Susan’s Say Yes Dog Training program which has helped many dogs become National or World Champions.

2-3 februari – Foundation Skills for Agility
Say Yes Dog Training Foundation skills create understanding that results in amazing; contacts, weave poles & jumping skills in the dog. Covered during these two days are: some brand new Rear End Awareness Games; to give the dog balance and the ability to weight shift for jumping, contacts and weave entries, targeting skills; for great contacts, 2×2 weave training, seesaw games & more!

4 februari – Masters Handling 1: Rear Cross Day
An entire day focusing on your execution of rear cross over jump, in tunnels & on weave poles. Often times handlers using conflicting body cues will create confusion in their dogs when trying to discriminate between rear cross and post turns. Fast paced rear cross drills will demonstrate how your body cues before and after a rear cross can affect not only the degree of turn you produce from the dog but also how your dog understands your other body cues you use around a course.

6 februari – Double Box Day
Susan Garrett has worked with Greg Derrett for at least 10 days a year over the last 7 years, during this time Susan has won multiple National Agility Championships, 2 World Championships as well as winning the ESPN Great Outdoor Games. Who better to teach you a handling system then someone who has had so much success executing it. Double box day will walk you through Greg’s foundation exercises to help you understand how your position as a handler and a the consistency of the handling system you choose will benefit your dog over their career. Come prepared to work as this fast paced day will run you through many handling drills.

7 februari – One Jump Workshop
This session has been a popular one wherever Susan has presented it all over the world! This workshop will show you how to make use of only ONE jump to teach your dog agility handling fundamentals including: Serpentines, threadles, front cross, rear cross, tight turns, start line excellence, distance work and more. Everyone has the ability to tote around one jump; after this session you can use that one jump to create an unbelievable understanding handling skills for your dog.

9 februari – Tricks to Build Body Awareness
This is a session that guarantees a lot of belly laughs as you are learning. Susan’s dogs have long been famous for their fabulous tricks. All of the tricks Susan will teach you in this session are designed to help your dog become more aware of his body and how to move it, extend it or stretch it. . Things like “Downward Facing Dog” or “Puppy in a Basket”. as well as many many others. These behaviours are not only fun but also very functional in helping your agility dog learn to use his body better. Open to puppies and dogs of any age.

11 februari – Masters Handling 2 – Cueing Turns and Driving Lines
The second in the Master Handling Series this workshop will focus the handlers body position and motion as being pertinent in the dogs understanding of his path. The goal of handling should be to create a dog that drives his current line without the time wasting behaviour of checking in with his handler. The handlers appropriate use of body cues such as deceleration will be examined as a way to enable the dog to predict his next obstacle in your handling path.
